Anniversaries/homecomings

Homecoming services will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday at Garrison Avenue Freewill Baptist Church, 597 Garrison Ave. Guest speakers, music featuring George Cook, and lots of food will be featured. Bring a covered dish.

Miscellaneous

Greater Emmanuel Gospel Tabernacle, 1543 Third Ave., will have a community fair from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 24 on the church grounds. Food, games, crafts and music will be featured.

New Millennium Full Gospel Fellowship, 505 Eighth St., St. Albans, will have a fundraising event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today on the church parking lot. Proceeds will benefit the church youth camp. Baked goods, hot dogs, a car wash and a clothing giveaway will be featured.

Catholics and their families from the Greenbrier Valley and the Allegheny Highlands are invited to the All Area Catholic Picnic beginning 2 p.m. Sunday at Greenbrier State Forest, Shelter 1, picnic area. The picnic is sponsored by the Allegheny Highlands Council 8689 Knights of Columbus. Hamburgers, hot dogs, all the trimmings, paper products and utensils will be furnished. The picnic concludes around 4 p.m.

Music

The Randy White Quartet will be presenting a gospel concert at 7 p.m. Sunday at Clendenin First Baptist Church, located at the corner of Virginia Avenue and Jarrett Street. A love offering will be taken.

Central Baptist Church, 3845 Chesterfield Ave., will have a gospel sing at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the church, located behind the tennis courts on Chesterfield Avenue in Kanawha City. Featured singers will be Courtney Perry and the Harvest Trio.

The Believers will be singing at 6 p.m. Sunday at Cornerstone Community Church at 2902 Piedmont Road.

The Loudermilk Family will be singing at 7 p.m. Sunday at The Meadowbrook Freewill Baptist Church located on W.Va. 114 North above Capital High School.

St. Paul United Methodist Church will host a Free Food and Fun Evening complete with food, dunking booth, Jupiter Jump, volleyball, ping-pong and pool from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church, 4606 Kanawha Turnpike, South Charleston.

Berea Seventh-day Adventist Church will be starting their Adventurer Club Children's Ministry this fall. Registration will be from 3 to 6 p.m. July 25. The program start date will be 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 22. The Adventurer Club is designed to teach a child how to develop a relationship with Christ, discover the world God created, and implement biblical structure at an early age. The age group starts from four to nine years old. The club will meet on Sunday afternoons at Berea Seventh-day Adventist Church, located at 216 Highland Ave., South Charleston. The Mount Olivet Missionary Baptist Association HC Head Scholarship Banquet presents the play "Who Killed the Church? -- The Coroner's Inquest" on Thursday at Riverside High School, 1 Warrior Way, Belle. Dinner begins at 6 p.m. and the play begins at 7 p.m. The price of the ticket is $35. Dress is semi-formal.
