Commission OKs new degree at West Liberty

WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. -- West Liberty University has won state approval to offer an accelerated leadership degree program for students age 23 and older.

The university said Monday that the bachelor of arts in organizational leadership and administration program will begin Oct 16.

School of Professional Studies Dean Thomas A. Michaud says all classes will be held on Saturdays.

Michaud says students can complete the degree program within 18 months, including summer classes.

The West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission recently approved the program.
