Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe is opening Aug. 19 in the Mountainlair, WVU's student union.
Forty students will be hired, getting hands-on experience managing a restaurant while also earning academic credit.
All profits will go to the College of Business and Economics.
Business school leaders say the idea came from two alumni.
Undergraduate students will work with an adjunct professor who will act as the restaurant's manager.
Assistant vice president for student affairs Michael Ellington says Taziki's will function like an ordinary business; the students won't get special treatment.
