Small-business summit set for W.Va. veterans

The Veterans Business Summit is scheduled for Sept. 14 at the I-79 Technology Park Research Center.
The summit will be hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration, along with its small business resource partners.
Speakers include representatives from the SBA's Office of Veterans Affairs, West Virginia Medal of Honor recipient Hershel "Woody" Williams and veteran small-business owners.
The SBA's Office of Advocacy says only 229 of the approximately 15,000 veteran-owned small businesses in West Virginia are registered to do business with the federal government.
