CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Workforce West Virginia is getting an $850,000 grant for a program that helps businesses become more competitive by training workers.
Republican Rep. Shelley Moore Capito announced the grant Friday.
Capito says the Appalachian Regional Commission is putting up $350,000, while private funders are contributing the rest.
Capito says Workforce West Virginia expects the grant will help create two new businesses and more than 50 jobs.
