West Virginia Radio Corporation General Manager Michael Buxser said Agnello has not been employed by the company since July.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Charleston talk radio host Michael John Agnello has been arrested after Nitro police saw him speeding through town.
Cpl. J.J. Garbin of the Nitro Police Department saw Agnello, 58, speeding in a white Jeep Cherokee on Center Street at about 1:45 a.m. Monday, according to a criminal complaint on file in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.
According to the complaint, Garbin pulled Agnello over on First Avenue South a short time later. A search of computer records showed that Agnello's license had been revoked for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Agnello, a host on WCHS radio's 58Live radio program, pleaded guilty in October 2009 to aggravated DUI following a July arrest for drunk driving on Interstate 64. His license was revoked in September.
In June of this year, Agnello was charged with domestic battery after allegedly throwing his girlfriend to the floor during an argument.
West Virginia Radio Corporation General Manager Michael Buxser said Agnello has not been employed by the company since July.
Agnello was charged Monday with driving while his license was revoked for DUI. He was in the South Central Regional Jail in lieu of a $10,000 cash only bond.
