Man stabbed on East End

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A man had to be hospitalized after being stabbed in the stomach in Charleston's East End.

Kanawha County Metro 911 dispatchers said a caller reported the man walked up to the door of a house on the 1500 block of Lee Street East with an apparent stab wound to the stomach around 8:30 p.m. Friday night.

Dispatchers didn't know if the man was stabbed at the residence or elsewhere.

The victim has been taken to CAMC General. Dispatchers were unclear how seriously he was injured.  

Charleston Police are investigating.
