Office of Technology employees will be joined by other state workers at a noon rally Tuesday at the North Plaza of the Capitol to protest the latest move in outsourcing state services. The mobilization by the West Virginia Public Workers Union, UE Local 170, will feature speakers, food and music.
Charleston Light Opera Guild will hold auditions for "Dreamgirls" at the Charleston Light Opera Guild Theater, 411 Tennessee Ave. Singing and reading will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. An accompanist and script will be provided; bring sheet music for accompanist. Dancing will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Dance combinations will be taught; dress to dance. "Dreamgirls" will be presented at the Charleston Civic Center Little Theatre on Nov. 5, 6, 12, 13, 14, 19 and 20. For information, call 304-342-9312.
DuPont High School graduates of 1949 meet every Monday for dinner at 6 p.m. at the Bob Evans restaurant in Kanawha City.
