Robbery suspect arrested after TV interview

CHARLESTON, W.Va. --  A suspect in a robbery last month has been arrested -- after police saw him interviewed about the robbery by a local television station.

Zackory Paul Pullens, 21, of Campbells Creek was arrested and charged with breaking and entering after he allegedly broke into the Dollar General Store on Campbells Creek Drive on the night of Aug. 25, according to the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department.

WSAZ-TV interviewed Pullens about the robbery the day it happened, according to the sheriff's department.

Deputies, who realized Pullens matched the suspect description pulled from surveillance footage, reviewed the news footage and arrested Pullens.

Pullens admitted he robbed the store, police said. He was arraigned in Kanawha County Magistrate Court and was being held in South Central Regional Jail on Tuesday.
