CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Kanawha County Commission has scheduled fall cleanup dates in three area locations.
The first is Sept. 25 beside the Go-Mart in Chelyan, followed by events on Oct. 2 on Call Road in Sissonville and Oct. 23 at the West Virginia Rehabilitation Center in Institute. All three will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Items accepted will be large appliances including air conditioners and refrigerators, electronics, tires and other recyclables and debris. Items not accepted include gasoline and propane tanks, hazardous materials, paint, chemicals and motor oil.
Kanawha County partners with Waste Management, ELCO Mechanical, Kanawha County Solid Waste Authority, state Division of Highways, state Division of Environmental Protection, JR Recycling and other entities for these cleanups.
