Three-car accident ties up Corridor G traffic

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- An accident at the intersection of Corridor G and Sand Plant Road near Alum Creek sent one person to the hospital and tied up traffic this morning, according to emergency officials.

One car slid over the hill, trapping a passenger inside, said C.W. Sigman, Kanawha County Fire Coordinator.

Three cars were involved in the accident, which happened about 7:30 a.m. in the north-bound lanes, Sigman said.

Davis Creek and Alum Creek firefighters worked to remove the driver, who was taken to an area hospital, Sigman said.
