Festival seeks nominees for top state movie maker

SUTTON, W.Va. -- The West Virginia Filmmakers Festival wants nominees for the state's best movie maker.

The organization says it awards the West Virginia Filmmaker of the Year Award based on recent or lifetime work that has had the most impact on the state's movie industry. Nominees can be involved in any aspect of making films, including production, direction, writing and acting and they should have strong ties to the state, such as making a movie in West Virginia or living here.

The winner will be announced during the 11th annual West Virginia Filmmakers Festival.
