Train derails in Wayne County

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A train derailed in Wayne County early today, according to Wayne County 911 dispatcher.

The accident happened at the intersection of W.Va. 37 near Morris Funeral Home in the town of Wayne about 12:30 a.m., the dispatcher said. No one was injured, he said.

The Norfolk Southern train was carrying coal from a mine near East Lynn, the dispatcher said.

The road remained closed this morning, the dispatcher said.
