Memorial service to honor fallen Charleston officer Jones

A memorial service to honor Charleston Police Patrolman Jerry Jones, who was killed by friendly fire a year ago, will be held Monday at the Charleston Police Memorial at the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and Washington Street.

Washington Street will be closed from Pennsylvania Avenue North to Pennsylvania South from 9:30 a.m. to approximately 10:30 a.m. The service will start at 10 a.m.
