CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A Kanawha County man faces sexual assault charges after allegedly attacking a woman at his home in Belle.

Aaron D. Hudgins, 29, was arrested Saturday and charged with kidnapping and sexual assault after a 26-year-old acquaintance told deputies that Hudgins choked her until she was unconscious and then raped her several times, according to Lt. Sean Crosier of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department.

Crosier said the victim suffered numerous injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Hudgins was being held without bond Monday at the South Central Regional Jail.
