Daniels Electric plans move to former Kyle furniture warehouse
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A Charleston-based electric company is changing locations.
Daniels Electric is moving from its Leon Sullivan Way facility to 702 Morris St., a former warehouse for Kyle Furniture.
"It had been on the market a few years and we had had some interest in it for a while," said Trey Frame, owner of Daniels Electric.
Frame owns DHF LLC, which purchased the property from R.H. Kyle Furniture Co. for $540,000, according to public records.
DHF LLC had purchased a piece of property on Bigley Avenue and considering building there, Frame said.
"It was cheaper to use an existing building, so it all just kind of worked out," he said.
Kyle Furniture co-owner Sally Preston said the furniture store has consolidated and does not need the space anymore.
The electric company had outgrown its previous facility, a building owned by Frame's grandfather, Doran Frame Sr., and needs more space to store equipment and tools, Frame said.
Daniels Electric, along with its 13 employees, should be operating in the new facility in around two months, he said.
Daniels Electric was founded in Charleston in 1976. The company does industrial and electric work, as well as heating and cooling and fiber optics, Frame said. Reach Lori Kersey at email@example.com or 304-348-1240.
