Canaan Valley celebrates 40th skiing anniversary

DAVIS, W.Va. -- Canaan Valley Resort will celebrate its 40th anniversary of skiing with a weekend of discounts and activities in January.

The celebration is set for Jan. 6-8.

The ski area will open Dec. 17 and feature a Toys for Tots promotion. Visitors can receive a lift ticket for $10 if they bring an unwrapped new toy worth $10 or more to the ski area during the opening weekend.
