Attorney General Darrell McGraw will have a consumer advocate from his office at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Odd Fellows Lodge Hall, 430 Roby Road, Huntington. The representative will offer a presentation on identity theft, answer questions about consumer protection issues, take complaints and distribute educational literature. Boone County Joint Administrative Board will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday in room 110 on the Boone/Lincoln campus of Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College, 3505 Daniel Boone Parkway, Suite A, Foster.

Putnam County Chapter of the West Virginia Federation of Democratic Women will hold its February luncheon meeting at noon Saturday at Sleepy Hollow Golf Club. The cost is $10 per person. Candidates for the 29th Judicial Circuit Court, Putnam County sheriff and Putnam County school board have been invited to speak. Bring a door prize for drawing. Yearly membership dues requested.  PipeSounds will present a silent movie event featuring the classic silent movie "The General" starring Buster Keaton and a short comedy, with the music score played by R. Jelani Eddington, at 7 p.m. on Feb. 25 at Forrest Burdette United Methodist Church, 2848 Putnam Ave., Hurricane. Admission is adults $10; students $5; and children under 5 free. Tyler Mountain YMCA will sponsor a Young at Art competition and silent auction from 6 to 8:30 p.m. March 2 at its location. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on various items in the silent auction, including sports memorabilia, trips, themed baskets and more.
