FUTURE EVENTS:

Sissonville Public Service District: will have a special board meeting at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the district office, 6438 Sissonville Drive.

Kanawha County Public Library Board of Directors finance committee: will meet at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the John V. Ray Room, main library, 123 Capitol St. Draft audits will be reviewed and discussions held on budget revisions, acceptance of the community participation project grant funds and levy requests for the library's funding authorities.

East Lynn Lake: has a limited number of volunteer positions open for the upcoming recreation season, mid-May through mid-October. Volunteers must be capable of physical work duties in an outdoor environment and will be needed to perform light maintenance duties. Volunteers may be provided with a designated campsite with electric and water hookups in exchange for 25 hours of volunteer work per week. A volunteer application must be filled out by those interested in obtaining a campsite in exchange for volunteer work. Single-day or short-term volunteers are also welcome.
