MONTGOMERY, W.Va. -- Candidate filing is underway for the city of Montgomery's municipal elections. The filing period runs Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays by appointment, through April 7.
Offices open are mayor, recorder and Town Council.
Filing fees are $50 for mayor, $25 for recorder and $15 for the council. Candidates must be a resident of Montgomery for at least 30 days prior to the filing period.
City elections are June 12, with early voting running from May 30 to June 9.
