Greater Emmanuel: will honor Bishop Norman Jr. and lady Jacqueline Jones for their 14th Anniversary at 5 p.m. March 24 at the church, 1546 Third Ave. Guest speaker will be Apostle Robert J. Abney Street Church of God: will have its 90th Anniversary Celebration on Sunday at the church, 617 Abney St., St. Albans. Guest speaker at the 10:30 a.m. service will be Dr. Ronald Duncan, General Director, Church of God Ministries. Dinner will be served in the fellowship hall after the service. A gospel music concert will follow dinner.
Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church: in Chesapeake will celebrate the Usher Board Ministry's 55th anniversary at 3 p.m. on Sunday. We would like to see all ushers from each church attend and wear your uniform attire. The Rev. Isaac Kinney will be guest speaker with the choir and congregation from First Missionary Baptist Church of Powellton.
St. John's Episcopal Church,: Quarrier and Leon Sullivan Way, will have a Lenten Taize Prayer service at 5 p.m. Sunday. This is a quiet, ecumenical service of reconciliation.
East Bank Community Choir,: under the direction of Zella Mae Hudnall, will perform the Easter Cantata titled "My Redeemer Lives" at 4 p.m. on March 31 in the new East Bank Christian Community Center on Elm Street. Refreshments will be served.
Charleston Baptist Temple: presents "Come Touch The Robe" Easter cantata at 5 p.m. on Palm Sunday, April 1. The cantata is directed by Edward Bucklen and presented by the Chancel Choir and enhanced with interpretive dance and dramatic portrayals. The church is located on the corner of Lee and Morris streets. Refreshments will follow.
Canaan UMC: will present an evening with Ryan Hardiman and friends at 6:30 p.m. March 24 at the church, 401 Roane St. The concert is free, however, donations will be accepted to help defray personal expenses of Canaan UMC percussionist J.C. White as he travels with the West Virginia Youth Symphony on its European tour.
Mount Vernon Baptist Church,: 2150 Mount Vernon Road, Hurricane, will have several Easter Week activities. The Children's Department will have an egg hunt with refreshments, games and inflatables at 1:30 p.m. on March 31. Rev. Ron McClung will preside at a Passover seder at 6 p.m. on April 6 (reservations are requested; call the church at 304-757-9110). At 8:30 a.m. on Easter, April 8, there will be a pancake breakfast in Mount Vernon's Fellowship Hall in lieu of the usual service. The 11 a.m. service will feature music and drama.
Teays Valley Ministerial Association: will sponsor a community Easter Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. April 8 at the new shelter by the lake at Hurricane Wave Pool Park. The Rev. Ron McClung, senior pastor of Mount Vernon Baptist Church, will be speaker.

Bethel Baptist Church of Spring Hill: will host its annual indoor yard sale from 8 a.m. to 3 pm. Saturday at the church, 5028 Kentucky St. There will be around 30 tables of merchandise, including toys, household goods, arts and crafts, children's items and Christmas items. Concessions will sell hot dogs, funnel cakes, onion strings and soft drinks.
Church of Christ,: 601 Washington St., St. Albans, will have a clothing giveaway from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the church. The building is across from the Hansford Center. All clothes are free to the community.
The Achievers Class of the Fifth Avenue Church of God: in South Charleston will open its Clothes Closet from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the church. Clothes are free to families and individuals in need. Visitors should enter the church from the E Street side. Free parking is available behind the church. St. Paul A.M.E. Church Young Peoples Department: will hold a "Slam Dunk 4 Jesus" basketball game vs. Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church at 5 p.m. Saturday at Stonewall Jackson Middle School. Tickets are $3 at the door.
Fairview United Methodist Church: in Cross Lanes will have "Faithful Workouts," free Christian aerobics classes, at 7 p.m. Tuesdays at the church. From Big Tyler Road, turn onto Rocky Fork Road and take the first right up the hill.
Mount Olivet Ministers and Deacons Union: will convene at 6:30 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. March 24 at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 821 B Street, St. Albans. All Mount Olivet Association Ministers and Deacons are invited.
Morris Memorial United Methodist Church: will host a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 24 at the church, 4615 MacCorkle Ave. in Kanawha City. Hot dogs and drinks also will be sold.
Riverview Gospel Tabernacle,: 2320 Bench Road, will hold a hot dog and rummage sale on March 24. The rummage sale is from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the hot dog sale from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Blessed Sacrament Church: at 305 E. St., South Charleston, will hold a "listening session" at 1:30 p.m. on March 25, as part of a series of meetings around the state on Bishop Michael J.
