MOUNDSVILLE, W.Va. -- Moundsville's 650-acre Grand Vue Park is launching a zip line canopy tour featuring five miles of cable and chair-style body harnesses.
Manager Craig White says he's hoping to make the park one of West Virginia's newest outdoor adventure destinations.
The State Journal says the zip lines will range from 340 feet to 2,200 feet. White says they'll stretch over valleys and provide spectacular city views.
White says a guided tour lasts about three hours, while the 2,200-foot long ride takes about 30 minutes. They're set to begin in May.
The zip line costs about $560,000 but White says it gives Grand Vue the wow factor it was lacking.
It also adds to other area attractions, including the former West Virginia penitentiary, and the Marx Toy and Fostoria Glass museums.
