WASHINGTON -- Republican Rep. Allen West said he believes 75-plus House Democrats are members of the Communist Party, a claim that echoed Joe McCarthy's unsubstantiated 1950s charges that communists had infiltrated the top ranks of the U.S. government.
Addressing a town-hall meeting Tuesday in Florida, the freshman lawmaker was asked how many members of the American legislature are "card-carrying Marxists.'' West said "there's about 78 to 81 members of the Democratic Party that are members of the Communist Party.'' He did not provide names.
West's office said Wednesday that the congressman stood by the comments and was referring to the 76 members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, the largest group within the House Democratic caucus.

Unsubstantiated until the 1990's when government documents released proved that McCarthy was right and that high ranking members of the Democratic Party did in fact support the communist party.
Really though, is that a surprise to anyone given that the progressive liberal movement of the New Deal was based on the same philosophies of Italian fascism and German Socialism? Perhaps that is why FDR called Benito Mussolini the European Genius and why Adolph Hitler sent a letter congratulating FDR on not only his Presidential victory in 1932 but continued to praise his policies throughout the 1930's.
One common theme shared by Hitler, Mussolini and FDR was their disdain for the so called fat cats that included bankers, a topic BO reiterated in 2009 when he stated "he did not run for office to be helping out a bunch of fat cat bankers on Wall Street."
You may not like it but West is right.
why is that a bad thing? the middle and lower class are what needs help, not the rich. what if he said he did run for office to help out a bunch of "fat cat bankers?"
That being the case then why is it that the Democratic Party is primarily responsible for bailing out Wall Street in 2008 and for giving them TARP in 2009?
Van Jones Obama Czar Self proclaimed communist
Half the Democrats pictures used to be pasted all over the American Socialist Party web-site until Fox noticed
I mean...what does one call redistribrutioniist/race baiters?
what does that have to do with Obama? the bush administration passed both.
I think you need to Google some of the old cartoons of how a bill becomes a law. If you understood that, perhaps you would understand why Democrats are responsible for the bailout of Wall Street and the subsequent TARP legislation. If you are able to somehow educate yourself on the above then perhaps you will understand what that has to do with Barrack Obama.

So the question is, how close are we as a nation to completion of the list and how many in the Democratic (and even some in the Republican Party) want to see us there?
Enlighten us ole wise one.
If you can. Unless of course you are as I suspect all hat and no cowboy.
Perhaps AaronS can explain the similarity of the 10 planks of Communism to our system of Federal Govt? I am with you on the free education for children...perhaps that makes me a Commie?....lost on just about everything else. Unless AaronS is trying to make the statement that the United States economy bears little resemblance to a Communist economy. It is hard to decipher.
Maybe so but it doesn't change the fact that history has proven him right.
