CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The trial for Shawn Lester, who is charged in the 2003 sniper-style slayings, has been pushed back to late June.

Kanawha County Circuit Judge Duke Bloom ordered the postponement Thursday, which was requested by Lester's lawyer, Kanawha County Chief Public Defender George Castelle. The new trial date is July 27.

The order does not give a reason for the delay. Prosecutors did not object to the motion.
