Region III Workforce Investment Board of Kanawha County: will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Conference Room at Goodwill Industries of Kanawha Valley, 209 Virginia St. W. The agenda for the meeting is available in the WIB office.
Attorney General Darrell McGraw: will have a representative at the University of Charleston, Riggleman Hall, 2300 MacCorkle Ave. from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday. Information and help will be given for applying for loan modifications, refinancing for underwater loans, halting the foreclosure process, safeguards for service members, new loan servicing standards and other mortgage relief. Residents should bring any documentation.
Kanawha County Commission: will have a special meeting at 8 a.m. Wednesday at the voters registration offices, 415 Quarrier St. A public test for early voting for the primary will be conducted and other general business will be discussed. All documents will be available for viewing.

Friends of The Library Foundation of Kanawha County: are selling tickets for the sixth annual "A Tisket, A Tasket ... A Literary Basket," which begins at 6 p.m. Friday in the auditorium of NiSource Gas Transmission and Storage, 1700 MacCorkle Ave. Attendees can bid on dozens of baskets built on a literary theme and filled with books, gift certificates, event tickets, gift items and much more.
