HARPER, W.Va. -- A Raleigh County man was arrested Sunday after allegedly stabbing another man.

Donald Matthew Bradley, 40, of Harper, allegedly went to a house on Fortuna Road on Sunday and confronted Mark Anthony Milam over an incident with Bradley's son, according to Cpl. J.L. Redden of the Raleigh County Sheriff's Department.

During the altercation, Bradley allegedly pulled a knife and slashed Milam across the abdomen. Milam was rushed to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery, Redden said.

Bradley allegedly fled, but was captured later near Glen Daniel. He was charged with attempted murder and malicious wounding. He is being held in Southern Regional Jail in lieu of a $500,000 cash-only bail.
