FUTURE EVENTS

Coopers Creek CEOS (Community Educational Outreach Service) will meet at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1600 Kanawha Blvd. E. Lesson leaders are Janet Craigo and Diana Wilson on "Humor: It Works." For information, call Diana Wilson at 304-539-0379.

Kanawha Trail Club will sponsor several hikes on Sunday. Meet at 1:30 p.m. at Ohio and Randolph streets to carpool. Pick a hike and leader. 

Putnam County Chamber of Commerce's next Business After Hours will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Broadmore Senior Living-Teays Valley, 4000 Outlook Drive, Hurricane. Participation is open to all Chamber members and their guests. The cost is $15 per person. Food and refreshments will be available. Reservations are required by Monday and pre-payment is appreciated. A cash drawing, sponsored by BB&T, will be held and you must be present to win. The South Charleston Public Library Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the library, 312 Fourth Ave., South Charleston. The agenda is available at the library.

The West Virginia Statewide Independent Living Council and the Division of Rehabilitation Services will conduct a public forum from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Appalachian Center for Independent Living, Elk Office Center, 4710 Chimney Drive, Suite C. People can give their input on what they would like included in the State Plan for Independent Living (SPIL), which governs how federal and state independent living funds are spent in the state in collaboration with the Centers for Independent Living.
