KINCAID, W.Va. -- A Fayette County man was arrested Wednesday after going back to a store he allegedly broke into and robbed earlier in the day.

Fayette County sheriff's deputies got a call about a break-in at Ed's Country Corner near Kincaid just after midnight. Sheriff Steve Kessler said someone apparently pried the security bars off a window and got inside, then made off with a bag full of cash.

Kessler said the suspect fled in a Dodge Caravan minivan. Video surveillance footage provided fairly clear pictures of the suspect, he said.

Deputies were looking for the van later in the morning and afternoon when they got a call that someone at the store might know the suspect. Kessler said they went back to the store and found a Dodge Caravan with a man inside who matched the surveillance pictures.

Kessler said Edward Neff Jr., 28, of Oak Hill, admitted to breaking into the store. Deputies allegedly found the clothes he was wearing during the break-in inside the van.

Neff was charged with breaking and entering, destruction of property and petit larceny. He was in the Southern Regional Jail Thursday in lieu of $50,000 bail.
