The four computers at the Hurricane branch of Putnam County Libraries are connected to a new, high-end router, which is still hooked up to an old copper-wire line while awaiting a fiber connection.

The $22,600 router -- paid for with federal stimulus money -- was designed to serve tens of thousands of users.
