Anne Black Gray's book of historical fiction, "The Devil's Son," tries to imaginatively fill in the gaps to describe what members of the Hatfield family faced with bullets flying from their famous feud with the McCoy family, who lived across the river in Kentucky from the West Virginia Hatfields.
