CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The first trip sponsored by West Virginia's chapter of the Honor Flight Network will send more than two dozen war veterans to the nation's capital next week.

West Virginia Public Broadcasting reports the veterans will start their trip on June 6 in Princeton.

The network honors veterans with free trips to the World War II, Korean and Vietnam war memorials in Washington, D.C. The West Virginia chapter was established by the Princeton-based Denver Foundation, which was started by the late actor Bob Denver and his wife, Dreama.

The trip also will include a meeting with West Virginia's congressional delegation and a luncheon in their honor at the U.S. Capitol.
