Man arrested in Tennessee in Huntington assault, robbery

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Police in Knoxville, Tenn. have arrested a man police say robbed and assaulted a Huntington man.

Zachary Matasich, 21, of Proctorville, Ohio, was arrested around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a statement from the Huntington Police Department.

Matasich is charged in the robbery and assault of Timothy Ferguson, who police found unresponsive on the floor of his apartment on the 12th floor of the Prichard Building in Huntington.

Matasich will be extradited back to West Virginia in the next several weeks, police say. Ferguson remains at Cabell Huntington Hospital in critical but stable condition.
