WVU Tech names engineering-sciences dean

MONTGOMERY, W.Va. -- The West Virginia University Institute of Technology has named Zeljko Torbica as dean of the College of Engineering and Sciences.

Torbica currently is program director and associate clinical professor of construction management at Drexel University, where he helped launch an online master's degree in construction management.

Torbica is a certified general contractor and quality engineer and a project management professional. He earned a PhD from the University of Florida in 1997 and completed executive programs at Harvard and Columbia universities, along with other postgraduate work in London and the University of Belgrade in Yugoslavia.

WVU Tech says he will assume his new role Aug. 1.
