BECKLEY -- Two Shady Spring residents have been arrested and charged with robbery after two Beckley hotels were robbed last weekend.

Douglas Stover, 26, was arrested on Monday evening, and Angela Michelle Willis, 25, was arrested around 11 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Raleigh County Sheriff's Office. Each was in Southern Regional Jail, facing two counts of first-degree robbery.

The Comfort Inn on Harper Park Drive was robbed on Friday night, and the Baymont Inn, also on Harper Park Drive, was robbed on Saturday night. In both robberies, a man brandished a handgun and escaped with some money.

The Baymont Inn robber was described as a black male, wearing a dark hoodie and sunglasses. The Comfort Inn robber was described as a man in a dark hoodie with a white bandanna across his face.
