MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The director of the Morgantown Municipal Airport said service starting Aug. 1 will let travelers catch earlier flights from Washington Dulles International Airport to the rest of the country.

Michael Clow said that's the one thing he's been asking for since he became director.

Silver Airways is the new carrier for Morgantown and the North Central West Virginia Airport in Bridgeport, operating under the United Express program.

Weekday flights will depart Morgantown at 6:25 a.m. and 10:38 a.m., nonstop to Dulles.

A third flight departs at 1:59 p.m. but stops in Bridgeport first.

Flights from Dulles will land in Morgantown at 10:18 a.m. after a stop in Bridgeport, while the nonstop flights will land at 1:39 p.m. and 11:04 p.m.

Clow said there will be fewer options on weekends.
