Fairmont plans reunion for current, ex-residents

FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- Current and former Fairmont residents are invited to get together and share their memories of the city during its first reunion.

The Fairmont Past and President Reunion is set to begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Windmill Park.

Organizers Lajuana Logan and Barbara Smith tell The Times-West Virginian that they hope the reunion will become an annual event.

Smith says comments she saw on Facebook from people with fond memories of Fairmont inspired the idea for a city reunion.
