Kanawha Trail Club will sponsor a hike at 6:30 a.m. July 11 at Kanawha State Forest. Meet at the swimming pool parking area. The downhill hike is about 45 minutes. There will be a special bonus at the end of the hike.

Marmet Recreation Center will have a dance featuring Freda Cooper and the Mountain Gold Band from 7 to 10 p.m. July 14 at the center. Tickets are $8. The concession stand will be open.
