FUTURE EVENTS

Kanawha County Public Library Board of Directors: will have its annual meeting at 3 p.m. Monday at the Elk Valley Branch Library.

Pilot Club of St. Albans: will have its annual picnic at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the home of D. Vannes. Meat, buns and drinks are provided by the club. Members are to bring a covered dish.

Charleston Coin Club: will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Kanawha City Community Center, 3511 Venable Ave. A coin auction will take place. For information, call 304-727-4062.

Retired United Steelworkers (SOAR): will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the local union hall located below Ravenswood. Food will be potluck of your choice. Call Arol Squires at 304-273-2877 or Larry LaCorte at 304-273-3158.

The Sissonville Public Service District: will hold its regular Board meeting at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the District's office, 6438 Sissonville Drive, Sissonville.

Kanawha County Public Library's: Reading Is a Blast Summer Library Club has been extended one week because of recent power outages. Participants now have until 5 p.m. July 28 to record their game sheets online or turn them in at their local branch library to be eligible for prizes. Nitro Public Library's deadline is July 27. T-shirts will be available for pickup starting Aug. 18.

Al-Anon: sponsors meetings for friends and family of alcoholics. Alateen meetings are for teens who deal with the alcoholism and/or drug addiction of a family member or friend. Meetings will take place at 8 p.m. Tuesdays at St. John's Episcopal Church, 1105 Quarrier St.; noon Wednesdays, Kanawha County Day Report Center, 900 Christopher St.; 7 p.m. Thursdays, Edgewood area, St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 819 Somerset Dr.; Alateen meetings: 7 p.m. Thursdays, Edgewood area, St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 819 Somerset Dr.; and 7 p.m. Sundays, Legacy Study Group, First Presbyterian Church, 508 Second Ave., South Charleston.Items for Bulletin Board may be submitted by mail to The Charleston Gazette, 1001 Virginia St. E., Charleston, WV 25301, or faxed to 304-348-1233.
