Applications accepted for W.Va. Pumpkin Festival pageants
Applications are now being accepted for the 2012 West Virginia Pumpkin Children's, Teen and Queen pageants.
The 2012 West Virginia Pumpkin Festival Children's Pageant will take place at noon Aug. 25 at the West Virginia Pumpkin Park, Entertainment Building, in Milton. The pageant is open to girls, ages birth to 12 years and boys, ages birth to 5 years. For an application call 304-638-8115.
The 2012 West Virginia Pumpkin Festival Queen and Teen's Pageant will take place at 2 p.m. Aug. 26 also in the Entertainment Building at the West Virginia Pumpkin Park, Milton. Queen contestants, ages 16-21, and Teen contestants, ages 13-15, must be a resident of West Virginia.
The 2012 West Virginia Pumpkin Festival Queen will reign over the West Virginia Pumpkin Festival and will receive $500 cash scholarship, $500 clothing allowance, crown, trophy, banner and represent the West Virginia Pumpkin Festival at the 2013 West Virginia Association of Fairs and Festivals Pageant.
