Kanawha Institute for Social Research and Action's Fatherhood Program partners with Men's Wearhouse in Charleston for its fifth annual National Suit Drive. Men's Wearhouse stores across the country are collecting gently worn professional attire for men and women through July 31. Clothing donated in Charleston is donated to the KISRA Fatherhood Program, which helps unemployed fathers find stable employment through occupational training and job placement assistance. Donors will receive a coupon from Men's Wearhouse worth 50 percent off their next purchase of regular-price merchandise (with some exclusions) and a tax receipt.

Marmet Recreation Center will host a dance from 7 to 10 p.m. Aug. 5 featuring the Stan McDaniel Band. A concession stand will be open and will be selling hot dogs, barbecues, soft drinks and more. All dancers and nondancers are welcome. For information, call Barry Pauley at 304-949-9692.

Al-Anon sponsors meetings for friends and family of alcoholics. Alateen meetings are for teens who deal with the alcoholism and/or drug addiction of a family member or friend. Al-Anon meetings will take place at 8 p.m. Tuesdays at St. John's Episcopal Church, 1105 Quarrier St.; noon Wednesdays, Kanawha County Day Report Center, 900 Christopher St.; 7 p.m. Thursdays, Edgewood area, St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 819 Somerset Drive; Alateen meetings are at 7 p.m. Thursdays, Edgewood area, St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 819 Somerset Drive; and 7 p.m. Sundays, Legacy Study Group, First Presbyterian Church, 508 Second Ave., South Charleston.

YMCA is accepting registration for the Charleston Family YMCA and Cross Lanes YMCA after-school programs. The Charleston Family YMCA Afterschool Program is for elementary and middle school students.
