BECKLEY, W.Va. -- Police located an inmate who had walked away from a Beckley work-release center Wednesday.

George Henderson IV, 26, of Nitro, did not return to the Beckley Correctional Center after leaving for work early Wednesday morning. He was supposed to return to the center in the afternoon, according to Raleigh County sheriff's dispatchers.

Around 6 p.m., Henderson was found near the Beckley Plaza shopping center, according to an officer at the correctional center.

Henderson is serving a sentence on narcotic manufacturing and conspiracy to deliver charges in Kanawha County. He'll now be moved to a more secure facility, according to police.
