FAIRLEA, W.Va. -- The State Fair of West Virginia is gearing up for its 88th season.
The fair opens Friday in Fairlea.
Visitors can attend concerts, a circus, a lumberjack show, a livestock display and choose from among 52 rides. Exhibits available for viewing include foods and produce, arts and crafts, needle work and flowers.
Gate admission is $10 for ages 13 and up and $8 for ages 6 to 12. Children 5 and under get free admission.
Concert tickets are sold separately. And there's a $25 pass available for 12 hours of unlimited rides and $20 for six hours. Both are good only on weekdays.
The fair runs through Aug. 18.
