Union Mission collecting socks for the needy

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Union Mission Ministries is continuing a sock drive in conjunction with the launch of Disney's film "The Odd Life of Timothy Green."Union Mission urges community members to donate new socks to help local families.

Designated boxes are available through Sept. 3 at drop-off locations, including the South Charleston Public Library, Charleston Department Store, WalMart at Southridge Centre, the Quarrier Diner, Cottage Row, Bailes Granite and Marble, and many local churches.

Marquee Cinemas will hold a sock drive for the Mission from noon to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday with the opening of "The Odd Life of Timothy Green."
