Brooke County man admits making explicit images of girls
WHEELING, W.Va. -- A Brooke County man has admitted to producing child pornography in his home.
Forty-year-old Michael John Jones of Follansbee pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court in Wheeling to a felony offense of sexual exploitation of a child.
Federal prosecutors say Jones admitted taking explicit photos and videos of young girls who were guests of his children. The videos showed the girls bathing and showering.
Prosecutors say State Police in February were informed that a video produced by Jones had been sent to a man in North Carolina. A search warrant of Jones' home recovered thousands of videos and images, including 11 made by Jones.
Jones faces up to 25 years in prison.
