St. Albans mayor to head Municipal League

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- St. Albans Mayor Dick Callaway has been picked to head the West Virginia Municipal League for 2012-13.

Callaway was elected to lead the organization during its 43rd annual conference in Charleston.

Callaway served as vice president of the league in 2011-12.

Other officers elected include Lewisburg Mayor John Manchester as vice president, Beckley Councilwoman Ann Worley as secretary and Dunbar Mayor Jack Yeager as treasurer.

The Municipal League was established in 1968 as a lobbying, research and educational body to help West Virginia mayors serve their communities better.
