JANE LEW FIREMEN'S ARTS & CRAFTS FESTIVAL: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Jane Lew Fire Station. More than 200 artisans will display works during this free festival. Items include glass, wood, leather, dolls, dried and silk flowers, baskets, ceramics, soaps, candles, paintings, candy, honey, jams and jellies. Call 800-296-7329.

FALL HARVEST FESTIVAL: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Huntington's Heritage Farm. Features a cook-off, wagon rides, a petting zoo, museum tours and a children's activity museum. Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for children ages 2-12. Visit www.heritagefarmmuseum.com.

HOLLY RIVER FESTIVAL: Noon, The 21st Holly River Festival at Holly River State Park. Among the activities are an antique car show, hayrides, children's games, a horseshoe tournament, arts and crafts sale and tours of the Windy Gap One-Room School Museum. Food competitions include cakewalks, potato peeling, pie eating and pumpkin seed spitting. Music is by Swiss/bluegrass/country group the Helvetia Band from 1 to 4 p.m. A complete schedule of events will be available at the festival grounds. Call 304-493-6699 or 304-493-6391.

JACKSON'S MILL JUBILEE: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the venue near Weston. It features more than 100 art and craft vendors, a vintage car show, antique and book sales and numerous exhibits and demonstrations. There will also be old-time, gospel, country and Christian music. In the historic area, watch wheat and corn grinding demonstrations, tour the Old Jackson's Mill Museum and the buckskinner encampment and take in Civil War re-enactments. In the children's area, dig for goodies on Treasure Island, ride a fire truck, get your face painted and draw with sidewalk chalk. Call 800-296-7329.

ALDERSON PATRIOTIC DAYS: Alderson will host its Patriotic Days celebration at various town locations. Activities are free unless noted. There will be river events, including an Anything That Floats race, as well as a 7 p.m. fireman's rodeo. Visit www.alderson4th.com.

ROANE COUNTY HOMECOMING CELEBRATION: Ball field at 811 Madison Ave. in Spencer. Music, activities and more will be featured. A church service begins at 10:30 a.m. under the tent. Gospel music with Chris Carter, J'Nae Carter and Jennifer Wagoner Family will be held at 1 p.m. Brighterside Quartet performs at 2 p.m.; Taj Rohr at 3 p.m.; Forgiven Four at 4 p.m. evening closes at 5 p.m.
