ELKINS, W.Va. -- October sentencings are set for three people who pleaded guilty to participating in a plot to smuggle illegal drugs, tobacco and other contraband into Huttonsville Correctional Center.

The Inter-Mountain reported that Karena Davis, 32, of Nitro; Sarah Lynette Cantrell, 33, of Lesage; and Brian Allen Simpkins, 29, of Denmar, entered pleas Wednesday in Randolph County Circuit Court.

All three are scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 24.

Davis' brother, Henry Martin Woody Jr., 25, of Nitro, pleaded not guilty. The case of a fifth co-defendant, Michael Joe Bragg, 27, was continued.

Simpkins and Bragg are inmates at the prison. Davis testified that she had been romantically involved with both inmates.
