RODERFIELD, W.Va. -- A $10 million project in McDowell County will extend public water service to the Big Sandy-Roderfield area.

McDowell County Public Service District general manager Mavis Brewster told the Bluefield Daily Telegraph that 300 customers have already signed up for service.

Construction could begin next summer, after the design is approved and permits have been obtained, Brewster said.
