MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The father of a South Carolina woman killed by an out-of-control truck at the 2011 All Good Music Festival wants to settle his federal lawsuit against several groups that staged the event.
Kim Miller reached a settlement in July with driver Clay Lewin of Cape Charles, Va. It compensates him $300,000 for the death of daughter Nicole, while two friends who survived would get $100,000 apiece.
The victims were all from Mount Pleasant, S.C.
Miller's latest motion says he's since reached tentative agreements with: Maryland-based Walther Productions and its principal, Tim Walther; Marvin Huggins and Marvin's Mountaintop campground near Masontown; and promoters Junipa Contento and James Tobin.
The motion doesn't specify what they would pay to settle the lawsuit.
Miller's complaint against several parking and security companies, meanwhile, remains active.
