CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A 17-year-old was arrested during the weekend after allegedly stabbing another teenager in Kanawha City.

Sgt. Eric Hodges of the Charleston Police Department said the 17-year-old got into an argument with a 16-year-old at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of 55th Street. The 17-year-old allegedly pulled a knife and slashed the other youth on the arm.

Hodges said the 17-year-old was tracked down by police and charged with malicious wounding. Because he is a juvenile, police are not releasing his name. The 16-year-old was taken to CAMC General Hospital for treatment.
